Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that provides the search. That company processes the query and supplies any result. Juab County Criminal History does not retain or record those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. It is kept within our organization and is not disclosed outside it unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads, including:
- The date and time of each page request
- The referring website, when one is supplied
- The pages viewed and the time spent on them
- Your device type and operating system
- Your browser type and version
- The internet protocol address assigned to the device
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand traffic patterns, such as which pages receive visits and where sessions end. Browser controls can refuse or remove cookies. Disabling them may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a search request to the selected outside provider
- Maintaining site availability, speed, and security
- Diagnosing errors and other technical problems
- Measuring which reference pages visitors use
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Juab County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its reference material identifies official sources such as the Juab County Sheriff's Records Division, Utah court clerks, the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Identification, and the Utah Sex and Kidnap Offender Registry. Visitor information is not combined into a report about another person or used to create a consumer report. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, rather than this policy, apply to information submitted through those tools. We do not control a partner's retention, processing, or disclosure choices. Review the provider's terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Juab County Sheriff, Utah Courts, state agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's policy controls its handling of information. Read that policy before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. Such tracking is conducted on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may still be disclosed to:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and site performance
- Outside search providers that process a query you submit
- Advertising networks that serve ads on these pages
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect the information we handle. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, however, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from a person under 18. If we learn that such data was submitted, we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide rights concerning personal data. Utah's Government Records Access and Management Act governs records held by governmental entities, while Utah Code §53-10-108 limits dissemination of Bureau of Criminal Identification records and provides subject access. Those laws do not convert this private site into a government repository. Subject to the law that applies, you may:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the governing law provides it
- Object to or opt out of processing when that right applies
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices or legal duties change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
Effective date: August 10, 2026
